Concept, image and poem by BASD-ART and Nina Micic. Together with the scent collective ART BRÜT, the installation became EAU MY GOD, an AI-inspired fragrance that carries the work beyond the screen.

Mario Müller
BASD-ART
Fulda, Germany

Mario Müller, known as BASD-ART, is a German art director and AI artist with more than 20 years in visual communication.

Trained as a media designer, he worked as an art director at Saatchi & Saatchi and freelanced for agencies such as Jung von Matt and Ogilvy & Mather. In 2011 he co-founded the Berlin digital agency UFOMAMMOOT and, in 2014, the design studio This is Miller with his wife Nina. The name BASD-ART first appeared in 2006, as his blog on urban culture, street art and design.

Since 2023 he has worked with AI as an artistic medium. Rather than relying on text prompts alone, he reworks and remixes his own images, colours and gradients into surreal, often absurd scenes about where people and machines meet. His work spans images, video, installation and projection mapping; his first solo show, Minds of the Machine, combined digital works with sound, text and an AI-designed scent.

His work has been shown in London, Buenos Aires and Colombia, featured in Vogue Germany and D la Repubblica, and recognised by the GoSee AWARDS and the AI Master Award.
